Author reading and workshop 5:30 pm Tuesday, Aug 6
Tiana Reid of Toronto Canada will read from her work-in-progress and run a workshop entitled: “Writing an Autobiography of a City.” Participants will explore the autobiographical mode as an entry point for considering our complicated relationships with place, politics, and history. Please bring a pen/pencil, notebook/paper, and/or technological device!
Tiana Reid is a writer and scholar who lives in Toronto. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of English at York University. Her essays, poetry, and criticism have been published in many places, including Aperture, Bookforum, Dissent, The Nation, The New York Review of Books, Poets.org, and TOPIA: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studi
