Calling All Writers!
Aspiring novelist Lynn Ingham is looking for you! As part of Lynn’s contribution to the
Dear Butte Writing Residency, she is gathering current, past, aspiring local Butte writers
to form a new, supportive, ongoing writer’s group. Lynn will facilitate the early meetings
either in person or by Zoom, to help with the group guidelines and structure, which will
be loosely based on her own very successful, supportive small writing group of four
women who span two continents. Lynn and her three fellow writers speak every two
weeks via Zoom as two live in Montana, one is in Vermont, one is in England, and the
three plus years with her fellow writers has been the single most valuable part of her
own writing journey. If you are writing, if you want to write, if you have written pieces for
which you’d love feedback, this is the group for you. Because Butte is so full of
amazing stories and wonderful storytellers, Lynn hopes to facilitate the founding of at
least one, if not more, ongoing writing groups. Raise your hand if you’re interested and
information will follow!
Please contact Lynn at :

Brief history for Lynn Ingham: Born and raised in Butte, Montana, Lynn started her
writing career as a junior reporter for the Montana Standard when she was sixteen
years old. After graduating from the University of Montana’s acclaimed School of
Journalism, Lynn taught high school journalism and English at CM Russell High School
in Great Falls, Montana, for two years before the wider world beckoned. After many
years in San Francisco, where Lynn worked for city magazines, technology trade
publications, and digital online publishers, she returned to Montana. She lives in a log
cabin on a mountain creek and is hard at work on her first novel.
