Keirston White : Warm Winter Nights

Kierston White is an Americana artist residing in Norman, OK. First inspired to pick up the guitar by brother Bryon White (of the Damn Quails), Kierston has grown into a matured songwriter and performer in her own right. Cutting her teeth at legendary venues like OKC’s Blue Door and Norman’s Deli, Kierston has absorbed the quality songwriting surrounding her. 

Kierston formed Oklahoma female acoustic group Tequila Songbirds in 2014, who still perform as an energetic harmony-charged folk trio. Swapping tunes with other Okie artists like Samantha Crain, John Calvin Abney, and Camille Harp, Kierston has hosted heavy-hitting songwriters at her residency at The Deli in Norman weekly for over six years. Leading up to the pandemic, she was hoping to get a second album recorded.

It was at that time that music took a backseat to her job as a registered nurse as she worked nights in the intensive care unit in her community. While staying at Dear Butte, Kierston hopes to write a concept EP based on the emotions endured and witnessed during that time. She is looking forward to performing new music in new places and to recording in the next year.
