Writer Emily Freeman of Dillon, MT will be hosting this workshop at the beloved Clark Chateau.

Building a Writing Practice: A workshop for experienced writers needing motivation to restart a stalled project, or those brand new to the craft looking for a place to begin. We’ll read, write, and discuss in a supportive environment, trying out new techniques and strengthening old skills. Students will have opportunities for sharing and feedback, and will identify short- and long-term personal goals in order to maintain their creative momentum.
Emily H. Freeman is a recent recipient of a Montana Arts Council ARPA Artist Award, and has been awarded grants and residencies from the Anderson Center, the Minnesota State Arts Board, Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, and more. Her work has appeared in various print and online publications, including the Best New American Voices anthology, Lake Effect, The Spectacle, and the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune. Emily received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota, and has taught writing to students of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors. She lives in Dillon, MT, with her husband and two sons.
