Submit your work for professional editing! This is a one of a kind opportunity hosted by Dear Butte. Our May resident, Danilo Thomas, is hosting a writers workshop at the residency house.
Get up to five pages of fiction read and discussed by a professional editor and a group of your peers during a traditional writing workshop. This primer will offer writing and craft suggestions, and will also involve a general discussion of fiction’s nuts and bolts: style, form, and content.
Submission deadline is May 14th. Please send work to Danilo Thomas:

Fee is $20 per person
Danilo John Thomas is the author of the chapbooks The Hand Implements and Murk. His fiction has won the Gibbs Flash Fiction Award from New Delta Review and his story collection Ore Vein was a 2021 finalist for the Autumn House Rising Writer Award and the 2022 Iron Horse First Book Prize, respectively. Other work currently appears or is forthcoming from Small Fires Press, Tampa Review, Fugue, High Desert Journal, Juked, Shenandoah, The Rupture, and Ruminate, among others. Raised in Butte, Montana, he earned his Ph.D in Creative Writing from Florida State University and his MFA from the University of Alabama. He manages the independent publisher Baobab Press in Reno, Nevada, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
